Bob Johnson is a photographer and videographer whose work has been published in The New York Times, The New York Post, The Star, Complete Woman, Newsday, TimeOut/NY, The New York Resident, The New York Blade, Playbill.com, BroadwayWorld.com, BroadwaySpace.com, TheaterMania.com and more. His photos also have been featured on ABC’s The View and TMZ.
He currently is the resident photographer for Staten Island’s first professional theater company, The Harbor Lights Theater Company, and also served as the official photographer for the International Whistler’s Convention for five years.
He has photographed celebrities that include Joan Rivers, Charles Busch, Will Ferrell, Jeremy Irons, Angela Lansbury, Patti LuPone, Daniel Radcliffe, Cheyenne Jackson, Florence Henderson, Whoopi Goldberg, Jimmy Fallon, Paul Rudd, Nathan Lane, Chris Noth, Davy Jones, Rupert Everett, Andrea Martin, Keith Carradine, Larry Gatlin, Elaine Stritch, Rex Reed, Anne Meara, Sandra Bernhard and others.
His work also has been published in The Enjoyment of Theatre (Fourth Edition), How to Read a Church (HiddenSpring Press), The Spectator Magazine, Now What Magazine, The Franklin Times, Louisburg College Alumni Magazine and Cantatas Vol. 15: New York (CD by John Eliot Gardiner).
His work has been displayed in exhibitions in New York City and three of his images are on permanent display in “The Smile Experience” at The National Museum of Dentistry, a Smithsonian affiliate museum in Baltimore.
Most recently, his photography has appeared in the CD booklet for ASTEP’s New York City Christmas. His photography also is featured in Moey’s Music Party’s Happily Ever Moey! A Fairy Tale Lark in Central Park and their upcoming Princess Revolution CD.
